COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Super Sunday will take on a different meaning for the Tennessee Tech tennis team, with the Golden Eagles eyeing much more than just the "big game."

Attempting to dent the win column for the first time this spring, Tech (0-5) will hit the courts Sunday afternoon for a 12:30 p.m. CT meeting with UNC Asheville at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.

Sunday's match will mark the second-straight weekend that will feature just one Tech tilt after the Golden Eagles locked up with Abilene Christian on Jan. 27. Tech was bested, 4-2, in the affair, securing singles wins from Marc Mila out of the No. 4 spot and Gonzalo Garcia out of the No. 5 slot.

Two Golden Eagles enter Sunday's contest with the Bulldogs equipped with a pair of singles wins this season, as No. 28 Eduardo Mena (2-2) and Gonzalo Garcia (2-3) have paced the TTU charge.

Like Tech, UNC Asheville (2-1) played just one match last weekend, a 7-0 loss at Charlotte on Jan. 27. Olly Cull, Finlay Ray McFadyen and Oli Nolan have each posted a club-leading 2-1 singles mark, while Cull and Henry Patten are the only two Bulldogs to tally a perfect 2-0 doubles record in the early stages of the year.

TTU broke a four-match losing streak to UNC Asheville last season, behind a 6-1 win in Asheville. Returning Golden Eagles Marc Mila and Jorge Alfonzo notched singles nods in the victory.

UNC Asheville leads the all-time series with Tech, 4-2.
