COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It will be a brief weekend of action for the Tennessee Tech tennis team, with just one match on the docket for the Golden Eagles. Tech (0-4) will tangle with Abilene Christian Saturday afternoon in a neutral site affair from Kenlake State Resort Park in Kenlake, Ky. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.

Despite coming off a winless weekend in Des Moines, Iowa, senior Eduardo Mena shined with a perfect 2-0 singles record out of the top spot in the TTU lineup. The two-time OVC Player of the Year collected a three-set nod over Drake's Vinny Gillespie on Jan. 19, before a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win against Northern Illinois' Bor Schweiger Muzar on Jan. 20.

Mena is the only Golden Eagle with two singles victories in the early stages of the spring. Wenceslao Albin, Jorge Alfonzo and Gonzalo Garcia have each tallied one singles nod.

Abilene Christian has already kicked off its stay in Kenlake in promising fashion after sweeping a doubleheader against Southern Indiana on Thursday. The Wildcats (4-5) registered a 5-2 win in the opener, before securing a 7-0 victory over the Eagles in the day's second tilt.

Saturday's meeting between Tech and ACU will be the first time the two squads will face off on the courts.
