COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- It will be a special time in Tucker Stadium
for all area scouts -- Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts -- and their
families as Tennessee Tech hosts "Scout Night" when the Golden
Eagles return home to host the Tennessee State Tigers on Saturday,
Oct. 15. Kickoff is at 7 p.m., and the Magic 98.5 Tailgate Park
opens at 4 p.m.
All youth who are involved in scouting on all levels will be
admitted to the game free when they are wearing their scouting
uniform or present a scouting ID. In addition to their free
admission, all scout familiy members can purchase tickets for just
one dollar each. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the
game.
All of the scouts in attendance will be invited onto the field for
pregame, and will form a special "High-Five" tunnel on the field
that the Golden Eagles will run through when they enter the field
for the game.
Each scout will also receive a special patch commemorating the day.
Each Troop or Pack at the game will also be welcomed with public
address announcements.
"This should be an afternoon and eveneing full of fun, family and
football," said Misty Pearson, TTU Coordinator of Corporate Sales
and Marketing. "Tennessee Tech is excited to make Scout Night a
part of our season, and we hope it will be a memorable day for all
scouts."
