COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Halloween is just around the corner and that means it's also time for Purple Palooza.
The 2024 edition will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Hooper Eblen Center, starting at 4:30 p.m. with trick-or-treating on the concourse. Bring out your best costumes as Tech teams, student groups and community sponsors will hand out candy to all the little spooks and ghouls.
The night continues at 5:30 p.m. as the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team hosts Lipscomb in an exhibition contest. The Golden Eagle men's team will take on Oakland City in an exhibition following at approximately 7:30 p.m.
For the Tech women, it will be a sneak preview of a tremendously talented Golden Eagle squad, under the direction of Kim Rosamond and her staff, as they aim to return to the top of the Ohio Valley Conference. With the Tech men, it'll be a first look at head coach John Pelphrey's roster featuring several key returnees, as well as a talented crop of newcomers.
The event, including the basketball doubleheader, is free to the public. Groups looking to sign up for booth space can sign up here, but space is limited to 34 total booths and will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Season tickets for Tennessee Tech men's and women's basketball are on sale now. Call (931) 372-3940, visit the Hooper Eblen Center ticket office or visit TTUsports.com.
