Golden Eagles see 124 student-athletes on 2023-24 OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Success in the classroom as well as on the playing fields and courts is a priority for Tennessee Tech Athletics and that was proven as the Golden Eagles claimed 124 spots on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll on Monday.

The list, covering the 2023-24 academic year, required a minimum of a 3.25 grade point average, to have been eligible and on the team throughout the competitive season in their chosen NCAA-sponsored sports and used a season of competition.

BASEBALL (23) -- Troy Baunsgard, Jack Brafa, Theo Bryant IV, Peyton Calitri, Jack Erdman, Eddie Garza, Matt Gelorme, Jackson Green, Andrew Guardino, Eli Huddleston, Nicho Jordan, Brody Lanham, Ryan Lee, Drew Mattox, Reece McDuffie, Jaxson Pease, Mitchell Rogers, Tanner Shiver, Preston Steele, Lawson Stricklin, Daniel Walter, Mack Whitcomb, Emery Wright;

Across the conference, women's track and field had the most honorees with 197, followed by baseball (190) and women's soccer (182). In all, 1,634 student-athletes were named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The conference's academic accolades will conclude on Tuesday with the announcement of the overall and team Academic Award winners.
