PINEHURST, N.C. -- The Tennessee Tech women's golf team slipped one spot to finish 16th at the Pinehurst Challenge on Tuesday. The Pinehurst #6 course played nearly a stroke harder in the third round, causing higher scores across the board.
Senior Katherine Bell and freshman Megan Williamson led the Golden Eagles, each carding a 240 for the tournament. Junior Amber Shepherd and freshman Allison Geer rounded out the Tech squad with a 242 and 244, respectively.
The University of Richmond won the tournament by four strokes over host College of Charleston.
Tech returns to action April 8-9 at the Samford Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Ala.
