KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Sophomore Madalyn Everts carded the low round of the day for the Tennessee Tech women's golf team at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate tournament in South Carolina, but it wasn't enough to keep the Golden Eagles from dropping one spot.

Everts improved her first round score by ten strokes, shooting a 78 on the second day of the tournament, hosted by College of Charleston. The Golden Eagles sit in 24th place, slipping behind Radford with one round to play.

Senior Katherine Bell leads Tech with a 76-80=156, followed by junior Amber Shepherd, Everts, and freshmen Megan Williamson and Allison Geer.

The Golden Eagles will play at the Oak Point Course Tuesday, joining Newberry College, Presbyterian, Charleston Southern, Stephen F. Austin, Radford, Bucknell, Western Kentucky, IUPUI, Marshall, Loyola, The Citadel, Towson and Farleigh Dickinson. The top 18 teams will square off at Cougar Point in the championship flight.

Live scoring is provided by College of Charleston at CofCSports.com and a full recap will be posted to TTUSports.com Tuesday evening.
