PINEHURST, N.C. -- Freshmen Megan Williamson and Allison Geer lead the Tennessee Tech women's golf team after two rounds of play at the Pinehurst Challenge on Monday.
Williamson carded a team-best 79+77=156 and ranks 45th in the field while Geer finished with a 79+79=158 for 53rd-place. Senior Katherine Bell and junior Amber Shepherd each tallied a 160 on the day.
The Golden Eagles sit in 15th place out of 19 teams, with one round scheduled for play on Tuesday at Pinehurst #6. The University of Richmond leads the pack with a team score of 594. Host College of Charleston is in second at 597.
A shotgun start is slated for 8 a.m. CDT Tuesday. A recap will be posted on TTUSports.com at the conclusion of the round.
