SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. -- With wild fires raging just a couple of
miles away, the Smoky Mountains were in desperate need of rain. The
lightning, however, was what caused play to be suspended Monday
afternoon on the opening day of the Bobby Nichols
Intercollegiate.
Most of the women's players have between five and seven holes remaning in the first round at the Sevierville Golf Club, and will resume Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. EDT. Following that, the 13 teams will play the scheduled 18-hole second round to total 36 for the tournament.
Full results will be posted on TTUSports.com Tuesday evening.
