KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- The Tennessee Tech women's team shot their best round of the three-round Kiawah Intercollegiate Tournament, but remained in 24th place at the end of the day. Senior Katherine Bell and freshman Megan Williamson each carded a team-best 79 on Tuesday.
Bell finished the tournament in 52nd place overall, scoring a 76-80-79= 235, followed by Amber Shepherd, Williamson, Madalyn Everts and Allison Geer. As a team, the Golden Eagles remained in 24th place, where they stood after round two on Monday.
Tech resumes play March 11-12, when it takes part in the Lady Eagle Invitational, hosted by Southern Miss at the Hattiesburg Country Club. Updates will be provided at TTUSports.com.
