SETTING THE STAGE
For the third time in four games this season, the Golden Eagles will meet an opponent for the first time in program history, playing host to the Lions in the first of two games in three days between the teams.

Southeastern Louisiana enters the game at 0-3 on the year, coming off a Saturday evening loss at Western Illinois. The Lions dropped a close 60-57 contest against the Bulldogs and now enter their fourth straight road contest to start the 2014-15 season.

The Lion's leading scorer may seem familiar to Tech fans. Averaging 12.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game, Zay Jackson will meet up against the Golden Eagles for the third time in his career, having played back-up point guard to Isaiah Canaan at Murray State in 2011-12.

Andrew Guillory also averages double figures in points for the Lions, dropping 10.3 per game on nearly 48 percent shooting from the field. DeVonte Upson enters as the leading rebounder for Southeastern Louisiana, grabbing 11 boards per game to go along with 8.7 points and 3.3 blocks per game.

For the Golden Eagles, Dwan Caldwell continues to lead the way offensively, scoring 14 points per game and adding 5.7 rebounds and two steals per game. Fellow big man Charles Jackson continues to dominate the paint, entering the contest after tallying his third straight double-double to open his Tech career.

Jackson is averaging 12.3 points and league-best 11.3 rebounds per game, shooting 50 percent from the field. He has also recorded seven blocks on the year.

As a team, the Golden Eagles are pulling down 47 rebounds per game, including over 20 per game on the offensive glass.
