History vs. SIUE
The Golden Eagles hold a 10-4 lead in the all-time series with the Cougars, including a 4-3 edge when competing in Edwardsville. Tech has won each of the past six match-ups between the two programs, including a pair of 3-0 sweeps in Cookeville just last season.

Preseason Honors
A trio of Golden Eagles picked up Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference honors, including sophomore setter Jordan Karlen, junior outside hitter Madolyn Isringhausen, and graduate middle blocker Skylar Boom, the most Tech players earning preseason recognition since 2008.

Consistent Attack
Now in her third season as the top offensive weapon for the Golden Eagles, Isringhausen has continued to show the consistency that earned her All-OVC Second Team honors in 2021 and First Team recognition last season. The junior outside currently ranks tied for third in the OVC in service aces with 0.43 per set, sixth in points per set with a mark of 3.85, and eighth with 3.16 kills per set. Isringhausen sits just 45 kills from 1,000 for her career and nine aces away from joining the top-10 career list in Golden Eagle history.

Finding Her Form
Rookie right side Ava Schubert was the top attacker for the purple and gold on Tuesday, registering a team-high seven kills in the team's midweek action with Morehead State. The freshman ranks second on the Golden Eagle squad with 2.22 kills per set and 2.66 points per set.

Karlen Returns
Sophomore Jordan Karlen ranks fifth in the league in assists per set on the season, averaging 9.02 per game. The reigning OVC Setter of the Year turned in 23 helpers with nine digs in Tech's midweek match-up at Morehead State on Tuesday.

Here Comes the Boom
Boom has established herself as one of the top middles in program history, recently cracking the program's top-10 list for career total blocks. The graduate currently ranks ninth in Tech history and is just six rejections from moving into eighth. The Louisville native also sits just one solo block away from jumping into the top-10 in school history in the category.

Up Next
The Golden Eagles return to the Hoop to host Eastern Illinois in a pair of tilts next weekend. Action will start Friday evening with a 6:00 p.m. match and conclude Saturday night with a 7:00 p.m. affair following the Tech football game against Southeast Missouri.
