THE MATCHUPS
Tuesday, October 10 – at Morehead State, 5:00 p.m. | Live Stats | Live Video

History vs. Morehead State
Morehead State owns a commanding 75-22 lead in the all-time series, including a 35-8 mark in Morehead, Ky. Last season, the Golden Eagles won back-to-back matches over the Eagles for the first time since 2014 and 2015, earned their first season series weep over Morehead since 2014, and picked up the program's first win in Morehead since 2017. Tech captured both contests in four sets.

Preseason Honors
A trio of Golden Eagles picked up Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference honors, including sophomore setter Jordan Karlen, junior outside hitter Madolyn Isringhausen, and graduate middle blocker Skylar Boom, the most Tech players earning preseason recognition since 2008.

Consistent Attack
Now in her third season as the top offensive weapon for the Golden Eagles, Isringhausen has continued to show the consistency that earned her All-OVC Second Team honors in 2021 and First Team recognition last season. The junior outside currently ranks second in the OVC in service aces with 0.45 per set, fifth in points per set with a mark of 3.93, and sixth with 3.25 kills per set. Isringhausen piled up a whopping 10 aces in two five-set matches with Lindenwood over the weekend.

Finding Her Form
Rookie right side Ava Schubert continued to excel for the purple and gold in her first season, registering a season-high 15 kills in back-to-back matches with the Lions over the weekend. The freshman ranks second on the Golden Eagle squad with 2.22 kills per set and 2.67 points per set.

Karlen Returns
Still playing a bit banged up, sophomore Jordan Karlen ranks fourth in the league in assists per set on the season, averaging 9.09 per game. The reigning OVC Setter of the Year averaged 8.60 per set over the weekend, piling up 86 across a pair of five-set thrillers while also accounting for six blocks and 27 digs.

Here Comes the Boom
Boom turned in her best defensive showing of the season on Saturday with Lindenwood, tallying a season-high eight total blocks to give her 11 for the weekend against Lindenwood. The graduate leads the Golden Eagles with 51 total stops on the year, including 18 solo rejections. The Louisville native cracked Tech's top-10 career list for total blocks over the weekend, now ranking ninth with 319. She also is just one solo stop from moving into the top-10 career charts for solo blocks for Tech, boasting 67 in her career.

Up Next
The Golden Eagles then make their way to Edwardsville, Ill. for two tilts at SIUE, wrapping up their three-match road swing. The weekend includes a 5:00 p.m. CT affair on Friday, Oct. 13 and 2:00 p.m. match-up on Saturday, Oct. 14.
