Tech volleyball inks three future Golden Eagles to 2020 signing class

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech volleyball announced the signing of a trio of student-athletes to the Golden Eagles 2020 signing class on Wednesday, announced by head coach Jeannette Waldo. The new Golden Eagles include Madolyn Isringhausen (Edwardsville, Ill.), Katie DiRaimondo (Manitowoc, Wis.), and Olivia Taylor (Rockton, Ill.).

"This is a very exciting time because every coach is excited about their recruiting class. It is so much fun to think of what the future could look like for your team and all of the possibilities are endless," expressed head coach Jeannette Waldo. "Each recruiting class is talented in their own way, but ours is bursting at the seams with athleticism, personality, and competitive mentality. The future is overwhelmingly exciting for the Golden Eagles as we continue our Golden Ascent to the next level."

Madolyn Isringhausen
OH | 5'11 | Edwardsville, Ill. (Edwardsville High School)

Isringhausen is a 5'11 outside hitter who currently attends and plays for Edwardsville High School in Edwardsville, Ill. With the Tigers, she earned All-Southwest Conference second team recognition during her junior season in 2018. In addition to her high school play, Isringhausen also competes at the club level with High Performance St. Louis Volleyball (HPSTL). Isringhausen's father, Jason Isringhausen, was a former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher, winning a World Series title with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2006 and is in the Cardinals' Hall of Fame.

From Coach Waldo: "We could not be more excited to welcome Maddie to our Golden Eagle family. She is a very talented athlete and has an aggressive presence on the court that we look forward to adding to our existing group. She has a fast whip of an arm and she knows how to score efficiently. I know I was sold on Maddie the first time I watched her play live, and I'm so excited to coach her for years to come. I fully expect her to make an immediate impact on our team and the conference."

Katie DiRaimondo
OH | 6'0 | Manitowoc, Wis. (Lincoln High School)

DiRaimondo is a 6'0 outside hitter who currently attends and plays at Manitowoc Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Wis. DiRaimondo has had a prolific career with the Ships, earning a 2019 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region selection during her senior season. She has also been a three-time All-Conference first team selection, earning a unanimous selection during her junior season. She was also named 2018 All-State honorable mention, 2019 All-State second team, AVCA high school All-Region, and earned 2019 Fox River Classic Conference Player of the Year during her senior season. DiRaimondo has also competed with the Fox Cities Elite Volleyball Club (FC Elite), in addition to playing with the Ships during her prep career.

From Coach Waldo: "I have watched Katie play for quite some time now and I knew about her back when I was coaching at Green Bay. I was immediately drawn to her overall athleticism, her versatility and her intensity on the court. When the game begins, she is very focused and driven to succeed. Her volleyball IQ is very high and she will absolutely raise our level of play as soon as she steps into our gym."

Olivia Taylor
L | 5'6 | Rockton, Ill. (Hononegah Community High School)

Taylor is a 5'6 libero who currently attends and plays for the Hononegah Community High School in Rockton, Ill. Taylor was named All-Northern Illinois Conference honorable mention this fall during her senior season. She has also been honored on the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) watch list three times during her prep career. In addition to her high school play, Taylor has also competed with the VC United Volleyball Club.

From Coach Waldo: "I think the first thing I was drawn to with Liv is how balanced she is as a player. I'm pretty sure I heard her before I saw her play because she celebrates and jokes around with her team with great tenacity. Then, after watching her play with such patience, poise, and speed, I knew she was the entire package. We cannot wait to have her on the court with us and I know our ball control will benefit from her joining our crew."
