COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech volleyball team has released the dates and registration information for its annual slate of Jeannette Waldo Volleyball Camps for 2019.
The first of the four summer camps available to the public is the Little Golden Eagle Camp, which will run from 9 a.m. CT to 3 p.m. on July 8. Campers will play a variety of games, sports, and participate in other various activities with the Golden Eagle Volleyball team and staff. The camp is available to boys and girls ages 6-12 years old, but is open to any and all entrants.
The Golden Eagle Elite Camp will run from July 10-11 and feature two options for campers. Campers can either choose to stay overnight or, for a reduced fee, simply commute both days. The Golden Eagle Elite Camp is a TWO day camp designed to provide advanced training for athletes looking to take their game to the next level. Athletes will receive technical and tactical training within a fast-paced and competitive environment from the Golden Eagle Volleyball staff.
On July 12, the Golden Eagle volleyball team will host its Libero Camp from 2-6 p.m. The Golden Eagle Libero Camp is solely designed for fundamental skill development of liberos. Campers will focus on passing technique, serving, defense, and ball control.
Tech's final camp of the summer will be the Setter/Spiker Camp on July 13. In the first session of camp, hitters will focus on attacking technique, armswing, footwork, and developing shots. Hitters will get repetitions at each of the attacking positions, in order to become a well-rounded player. Setters will focus on setting technique, footwork, game strategy, and ball control. In the second session of camp, hitters and setters will work together in cooperative and competitive drills. Camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jeannette Waldo Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender). These camps are operated by the Volleyball coaches of Tennessee Tech. Although the camps may be held on the campus of Tennessee Tech, they are not owned nor operated by the University.
