BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Jordan Brock has been named the adidas® OVC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the Ohio Valley Conference on Tuesday in its latest weekly report of the 2017-18 season.

The Harlan, Kentucky native averaged 19 points a game in Tech's last two conference contests thanks to an especially remarkable performance on Thursday night against Southeast Missouri. Brock scored a career-high 30 points (destroying her previous best of 21 points) to become just the sixth Tennessee Tech freshman in program history to score 30 or more points in a single game. She is also the first in 13 years to do so.

Brock hit seven of her 13-point tries that game to also set a new best in 3-point attempts and was perfect from the free throw line as well (5 for 5).

The freshman was heavily guarded two days later against UT Martin but still shot efficiently, making 60 percent of her field goals (3 for 5) and 50 percent of her 3-pointers (2 for 4).

She now leads Tech in scoring with 11.4 points per game and has 12 double-figure games to her credit.

In OVC play alone, Brock ranks third among all league players with 2.8 3-pointers per game and 11th in scoring with 14.1 points per game.

Brock shares this week's honor with fellow Eastern Illinois freshman guard Karle Pace.

The list of OVC weekly honor recipients for Jan. 30 is as follows:
Co-Players of the Week – Miranda Crockett, Morehead State & Ke'Shunan James, Murray State
Newcomer of the Week – A'Queen Hayes, Eastern Kentucky
Co-Freshmen of the Week – Jordan Brock, Tennessee Tech & Karle Pace, Eastern Illinois
