COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech could not keep up with Radford offensively on Monday night, as the Golden Eagles fell to the visiting Highlanders 60-41 inside the Hooper Eblen Center.

Projected to repeat as the Big South Conference champion, Radford (2-1) out-shot Tech from the field 47.3 to 26.0 percent and turned the ball over just 11 times compared to Tech's 18.

Sophomore guard Khiana Johnson paced both teams with a career-high 18 points in her first career start. Reserve Destinee Walker also scored in double-digits, totaling 14 points.

Jordan Brock led Tech offensively with eight points, earning First National Bank of Tennessee-Special Olympics Player of the Game honors.

"Very tough night," said head coach Kim Rosamond. "I thought we did some good things defensively to hold Radford to 60 points. Offensively, we're just struggling right now. We're a young basketball team and we're young on the perimeter, but that's not an excuse. We've got to figure it out. We've got to execute better. We've got to take better shots. Our shot selection was atrocious tonight. We have all the tools that we need right there in that locker room, and we've just to got to go back to work. We're going to figure it out.

"Our schedule is challenging, but it's also going to prepare us and get us ready for where we need to be come OVC play and we've just got to get back to work."

Tech is now on a three-game losing skid, dropping to 1-3 overall and faces three tough road games ahead in Georgia, Wright State and Kentucky.
