NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team put together a late rally, but fell short of a road win at Belmont Saturday night, losing to the Bruins 68-62.

The Golden Eagles were led by sophomore Jasmine White, who earned her first career double-double with a team-leading 19 points and 13 rebounds, seven of which coming on the offensive end.

Tech trailed for most of the game, but never by more than 10 points, and came within four points in the final 30 seconds, but couldn't get any closer, as the Bruins held on for the six point win.

Senior Allison price chipped in with 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists, and fellow senior Blair Bowens added 12 points and four assists for the Golden Eagles.

After coming out cold in the first half with a 6-of-32 shooting performance, Tech hit 15-of-33 shots in the second half. The Golden Eagles out-rebounded Belmont with a 43-36 rebounding margin.

Five freshmen saw action for the young Golden Eagles, and combined for 15 points and nine rebounds. Krystal Stirrup lead the freshmen with nine points and four boards.

The Golden Eagles are now 1-2 on the season. Tech returns home on Nov. 25 to host Drake in the Hooper Eblen center, before heading to Boca Raton, Fla., for the Florida Atlantic Thanksgiving Tournament Nov. 29-30.
