DICKSON, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech sophomore Mason Griffin made the largest jump on the individual leaderboard Friday, closing the second round of the Ohio Valley Conference men's golf tournament in a tie for fourth place after shooting a three-under 69.

Defending champion Jacksonville State rallied from a six-shot deficit and now holds a four-shot lead after two rounds. Austin Peay entered the day with a sizable lead but combined for a team score of 295, which was 15 shots higher than its opening round total.

That opened the door for the Gamecocks who tallied the only under par team score of the day (285). JSU enters Saturday's final round at 571 while APSU is at 573. Murray State (581) is in third place followed by UT Martin (583), Eastern Kentucky (584), Eastern Illinois (591), Morehead State (594), Tennessee Tech (605) and Tennessee State (615).
