COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's basketball team hits the road for the first time in Ohio Valley Conference play this season, making the familiar trip north to take on Morehead State in a 6:00 p.m. CT contest in Morehead, Ky.

The action can be followed live via radio with Roger Ealey on the call on 106.1 The Eagle while video coverage of the contest will be available on ESPN+.

Saturday's match-up represents just the third meeting all-time between the two programs, with the Golden Eagles earning wins in both contests last season. The new OVC foes met for the first time back on Feb. 9, with Tech taking home an 84-69 victory in Cookeville.

Former Golden Eagles Brett Thompson (21), Jaylen Sebree (20), and Ty Perry (10) combined for 51 of Tech's points in the contest, with current senior guard Diante Wood chipping in nine. In the rematch in Evansville two weeks later, Tech triumphed again, edging the purple and gold 82-79 behind a balanced attack.

Current senior guard Jayvis Harvey led the way with 19 points and a 5-for-7 showing from distance with six boards. Sebree tallied 17 points and 10 boards while Perry added 16 points and Thompson tacked on 14 with eight rebounds.

On Thursday, the Golden Eagles dropped their first of two tilts with longtime league rival Morehead State, falling on the road, 82-57. The Eagles dominated the glass to the tune of a 45-20 advantage, scoring 31 second-chance points while holding Tech to just three.

Senior guard Diante Wood produced 11 points to tie for the team lead, sinking 4-of-8 tries from the floor and racking up three steals. Junior guard David Early also tallied 11 points for the Golden Eagles, hitting 5-of-9 attempts from the field.

Junior forward Rodney Johnson Jr. added 10 points to the mix while junior guard Josiah Davis and senior guard Jayvis Harvey each chipped in eight points.

Following Saturday's tilt, the Golden Eagles will head back to the Hooper Eblen Center for their lone home contest in the month of January. Tech will host Southeast Missouri on Saturday, Jan. 13 in a 3:00 p.m. CT rematch of last season's OVC Tournament Championship game.
