COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – All Golden Eagle men's basketball alumni are invited back to Cookeville and the Tennessee Tech University campus for the program's annual alumni weekend, held this year on Friday, Oct. 6 and Saturday, Oct. 7.
Tech head coach John Pelphrey, his staff, and the Golden Eagle team will host the program's alumni for a Friday-night dinner at the Blue Pig restaurant at 35 W Broad St. in Cookeville at 7:30 p.m. CT on Oct. 6. On Saturday, the team will welcome all alumni to observe practice in the Hooper Eblen Center at 10:00 a.m. with a Chick-fil-A lunch and special gift available to the group.
Following practice, the program will host alumni at the Golden Eagle Golf Club for a round of golf at 1:00 p.m. Cost is $45 and includes cart and green fees. For those opting not to play golf, alumni and guests can meet at Fire & Vine – Cookeville's newest local eatery with a one-of-a-kind rooftop bar and eating area – at 4:00 p.m. The evening will round out with dinner at 37 Cedar at 7:00 p.m.
Registration for alumni weekend can be done by contacting assistant coach Alex Fain at afain@tntech.edu or 931-372-3952. Alumni that cannot attend in October, will still have an opportunity to be celebrated at the team's annual Legends Alumni Weekend on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024. More information on that event will be provided in the coming months.
