COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – And then it was game week.
After the grueling camp sessions, the varying weather conditions and the occasional bump and bruise, the Tennessee Tech wrapped up its fall camp on Thursday night, closing it up with the annual Gathering of Eagles event at Tucker Stadium.
The evening began with the Golden Eagles players and coaches putting the fun in fundamentals as they worked with local kids in the pre-scrimmage clinic, then signed autographs for the fans in attendance.
But as the night started to draw to a close, it was all about a chance to show the fans what they can look forward to as the 2017 campaign begins in earnest in one week.
With their thoughts on camp are offensive lineman Myles Douglas, defensive lineman Mike Cain and defensive ends coach / special teams coordinator Dontae Wright.
The Golden Eagles open their season next Thursday as Tech hosts Football Championship Subdivision No. 25 Western Illinois, starting at 6 p.m.
