COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For a lot of seniors at colleges and universities around the country, they want one last chance to suit up and take the field, another chance to prove themselves, one more time to play the game that has been a part of their lives for years as they look to rise up to the professional level.

Tennessee Tech senior Maleek Hall is going to get that chance.

Hall has been invited and accepted an offer to play in the fifth annual Dream Bowl, held from January 12th to 16th at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.

The event also includes a CFL scouting combine, run by NFL and CFL scouts.

The Dream Bowl, played on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, takes its name from King's "I have a dream" speech and also incorporates family activities and community involvement during the event.

The complete roster for the two teams – the Patriots and the Crusaders – have not been announced yet, but 43 players have gone on to play professionally, including 19 into the National Football League.

Hall ended the 2016 season with a rushing touchdown on two carries for 21 yards, two kick returns for 38 yards, three punt returns for 54 yards, as well as 30 tackles, one sack, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, two interceptions and 10 pass break-ups.
