BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the second time in her career, Tennessee Tech's Gittle Sciolis was honored as the Ohio Valley Conference's Female Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league Thursday morning. Sciolis shared the weekly honor with Morehead State's MacKenzie Moore.

The Golden Eagle veteran finished a perfect 2-0 during Tech's rain-shortened stint at the Oyster Shuck Match Play event Monday and Tuesday. The fifth-year senior earned a dominant, 6&5 victory over Western Carolina's Kayleigh Baker for one of the Golden Eagles' two wins in the match.

Despite seeing Monday's second round cancelled due to inclement weather and poor course conditions at Charleston Municipal Golf Course in Charleston, S.C., Sciolis returned to the links to pick up her second win of the week, a 3&2 decision over App State's Makena Dubois. She earned Tech's lone victory of the second match.

Sciolis represents on of two Golden Eagles to capture OVC Female Golfer of the Week honors this season, along with freshman Chloe Griffith. The pair became the first set of Tech teammates to earn OVC Female Golfer of the Week in the same year since 2014-15 upon Sciolis' first honor back in October.

Next on the schedule for the Golden Eagles is a visit to Huntsville, Ala. for the three-round Huntsville.org Intercollegiate. Hosted by Samford on the Highlands Course at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Hampton Cove, the event will run Monday, Mar. 4 through Wednesday, Mar. 6.
