COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team rolls into its third tournament of the fall season, heading to Cape Girardeau, Mo. and Dalhousie Golf Club for Southern Illinois' Saluki Invitational Monday, Oct. 2 through Tuesday, Oct. 3.

SALUKI INVITATIONAL: Oct. 2-3, 2023 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,173-yard Dalhousie Country Club in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Play will begin Monday with 36 holes of action with a shotgun start. Tech will compete in the final round on Tuesday, also featuring a shotgun start.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are freshman Chloe Griffith, senior Ainsley Simms, sophomore Kaydi Rhodes, freshman Lexus Julian, and senior Gittle Sciolis. Competing as an individual is freshman Lydia Baker.

THE COMPETITION: The eight-team field consists of host Southern Illinois – which will field two teams – as well as Austin Peay, Evansville, Lindenwood, Purdue, Stephen F. Austin, and Tennessee Tech.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH AMANDA SMITH: "We love having the chance to come back to Dalhousie Golf Club. [Assistant] Coach [Polk] Brown and I have traveled there these last few years with our men's team for the Ohio Valley Conference championships in the spring, so we are both excited to see how it will be in the fall. There are a few members of the team who have also seen this area and course, so it will be fun for them to return. The team is looking forward to getting closer and closer to not only our individual goals but our team mission this season with this upcoming tournament. I am thrilled to see how they handle a beautiful, yet challenging course."
