CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team finished off its third tournament of the season Tuesday afternoon, putting a cap on the final round of action at Dalhousie Country Club as part of the Saluki Invitational.

The Golden Eagles placed fourth among the seven teams in competition in Cape Girardeau, Mo., completing the tournament with a 309 for a final score of 935. Austin Peay took home the crown with a composite 882, besting the field by more than 40 shots. The Govs' Erica Scutt took home individual medalist honors behind a 4-under 212.

For the second time this season, rookie Chloe Griffith led the purple and gold, tying for seventh for her first career top-10 finish. Overall, the freshman finished with a 226, sporting a 1-over 73 behind two birdies and 14 pars on Tuesday.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, Tech's most experienced golfer, Gittle Sciolis, was next on the leaderboard for the Golden Eagles. The fifth-year senior placed 16th among 43 participants, securing three birdies on her way to a 75 and three-round total of 232.

Next for the purple and gold was senior Ainsley Simms, ranking 20th with a score of 236. The veteran locked down a birdie as part of an 81 on the day. Cookeville native and freshman Lexus Julian recorded her second straight 80 after concluding Monday with one, tying for 28th with a 242 and two more birdies.

Complete her first collegiate round was Lexus Julian, who tied for 34th while competing as an individual. The rookie tallied an 82 to end the week with a 247 overall score. Rounding out the Golden Eagle lineup, sophomore Kaydi Rhodes posted a pair of birdies on her way to an 88 and final score of 250.

On the schedule next for the Tech squad is a trip to Greensboro, N.C. next week, as the Golden Eagles compete in the UNCG Fall Invitational at Forest Oaks Country Club from Monday, Oct. 9 through Tuesday, Oct. 10.
