COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech women's golf team will
be on the Old Hickory Country Club Monday and Tuesday to compete in
the Belmont Invitational. Tech is one of eight teams in the field
for the two-day, 36-hole tournament.
Tech, Tennessee State and Austin Peay will represent the Ohio
Valley Conference in the field, which also includes Belmont,
Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee State, Trevacca and UAB.
Eastablished in 1926, Old Hickory Country Club is a 6,044-yard, par
71 layout. The teams will play 18 holes Monday beginning at 9 a.m.,
with the final round opening with a shotgun start Tuesday at 9:30
a.m.
Coach Brandy Stout's team has been idle since the Low Country
Invitational at Hilton Head, S.C., on March 20-21. The Golden
Eagles placed 12th led by freshman Katy Beth Glover.
Tech follows the Belmont Invitational with one more regular season
tournament, the EKU Spring Classic on April 9-10, before heading to
Dickson, Tenn., for the Ohio Valley Conference Championships, April
21-23.
