Golden Eagles journey to Hilton Head for Low Country Intercollegiate

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech women's golf team is in Hilton Head, S.C., this weekend to play in the Low Country Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford University. The 36-hole tourney begins Sunday with the final round scheduled for Monday.

Coach Brandy Stout's team opened the spring season last week at the Samford Intercollegiate, finishing in seventh place. This tournament will feature a field of 14 teams, playing on the Moss Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head.

Senior Carley Rhyne owns the low average on the team this season at 79.5 through 13 tournament rounds of play. Rhyne led Tech at the Samford event, placing 30th with rounds of 86, 86 and 82. She will headline the Tech lineup this weekend, playing in the No. 1 position.

The balance of Tech's lineup will include Brandy VanEtten, Katherine Bell, Katy Glover and Amanda Randolph.
