COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Members of the Tennessee Tech women's golf team spent some time Saturday evening assisting with the Hero's Ball at the Leslie Towne Center, an annual event hosted by Rising Above Ministries.

The Hero's Ball is an opportunity for individuals with disabilities to "cut loose, have a great time and forget about their disabilities for one night," according to TTU women's golf coach Brandy Stout. "This is something that our girls do every year, and will continue to do."

Rising Above Ministries is sponsored by The River Community Curch of Cookeville.

The Golden Eagles get their 2011 spring schedule underway Monday and Tuesday at the Samford Invitational.
