CHARLESTON, Ill. – Tennessee Tech women's track & field head coach Wayne Angel was named the OVC Indoor Coach of the Year following the Golden Eagles' winning performance at the 2018 OVC Indoor Championships on Saturday.

Angel receives the honor for the second-straight season. In 2017, Tech placed second in the indoor meet, and Angel collected the first conference coach of the year honor in program history.

Tech won its first-ever track & field team title, including both the indoor and outdoor seasons, on Saturday thanks to eight event titles. Senior Micayla Rennick earned Athlete of the Championship after winning the 800 meters, mile and 3000 meters.
