BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Though the Hilltopper Relays were shortened by a day due to snow expected for Saturday, Tennessee Tech got lots of work done at Western Kentucky on Friday.

The Golden Eagles broke a school record, won three events and added two more OVC-leading times to bring their total to seven top marks in the conference.

Tech's first win of the day came from its 4x100m relay squad of Ceirra Tate, Lisa Wickham, D'Airrien Jackson and Na'Asha Robinson. The quartet placed first in the event with a time of 46.33.

Individually, Wickham placed second in the 100m dash with a personal-best time of 11.88, breaking Tech's previous program record of 11.92 that had been held by Bethany Burney since April 17, 2004.

Robinson won the 200m dash with a time of 24.00 flat.

Freshman Purity Sanga also took home a win in the 1500m run, finishing in 4:37.93.

Wickham's 100m dash time and Robinson's 200m dash time each rank first in the OVC, giving Tech two additional conference-leading marks.

"It was a very productive meet from top to bottom," said head coach Wayne Angel. "We accomplished a lot as a team. The sprints, field events and distances performed well today. We are definitely rounding the corner and moving in a positive direction."
