BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Tennessee Tech track & field heads up to the Bluegrass State early Friday to compete in Western Kentucky's Hilltopper Relays.
The meet was initially scheduled to run through both Friday and Saturday, but all events will be run on Friday, April 6 due to expected weather on Saturday.
Tech, now ranked 22nd in the South Region and 84th nationally, is coming off an appearance at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida, over the weekend (only a handful of Tech's track athletes traveled to Florida). The Golden Eagles collected two new school records in the 4x400m relay (run by Na'Asha Robinson, Ceirra Tate, Khemani Roberts and D'Airrien Jackson) and the 1500m run (run by Micayla Rennick), along with four top-20 finishes.
Tech heads into the Hilltopper Relays boasting five OVC-leading marks in the 400m dash, 800m run, 1500m run, 5000m run and 4x400m relay and five additional top-5 marks.
