COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Events are planned from Friday through Sunday for Tennessee Tech's 2011 Family Weekend, and right in the middle of it all is an Ohio Valley Conference football game that could have championship implications.

The Golden Eagles (2-1/1-0 OVC), unbeaten in the league after their first weekend of OVC play, will host the defending conference champion Southeast Missouri Redhawks (0-2/0-0 OVC). The game is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff in Tucker Stadium, with activities in the Magic 98.5 Tailgate Park beginning a 4 p.m. Live music will be provided in the tailgate park by Nemesis.

Family Weekend is a great time to visit the Upper Cumberland and Tennessee Tech, a weekend that allows students and their families to spend time together participating in many exciting weekend activities. TTU's Fall Family Weekend is hosted by the Office of Orientation and Student Success.

Tech owns an 18-16 all-time on Family Weekend (formerly called Parents' Day), but has won 10 of the past 13 including the last two. Last year, Tech defeated Eastern Illinois, 34-20, following a 31-23 victory over Austin Peay in 2009. This outing marks the first time that SEMO has been Tech's guest on Family Weekend.

For additional information about the weekend, check the web page link above or call the Office of Orientation (931) 372-3245. You can also send an email to: parents @tntech.edu.
