Annual Football Photo Day set for Monday, Aug. 8 in Tucker Stadium

Photo Day is free and open to the public

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Football fans, families and friends are invited to Tennessee Tech's Tucker Stadium on Monday, August 8, for the team’s annual Photo Day, which will take place on Overall Field from 10 a.m. until noon.

The Golden Eagles report to campus Sunday, Aug. 7, to open fall camp, and will assemble on the field Monday for the official team photo at 10 a.m. After that, individual and group photos will be taken, and fans are encouraged to meet with the players and coaching staff.

Tech opens the regular season on Saturday, Sept. 3, with a game at the University of Iowa. The next week, the Golden Eagles host their first home game on Thursday evening, Sept. 8, against Maryville College.

Head coach Watson Brown, heading into his fifth season at the Golden Eagle controls, will welcome 90 players to camp. His enthusiasm for the coming season is evident with the start of camp just a couple of weeks away.

"I’m looking forward to this football season and I'm anxious to get started," Brown said. "We made outstanding progress in the spring, I'm seeing tremendous enthusiasm among our players and really good leadership from our seniors. I'm really excited about this team."

Season tickets for the 2011 Golden Eagle season are on sale through the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center, or by calling (931) 3720-3940. Tickets may also be purchased online at TTUsports.com.
