A look at Tennessee Tech
The Golden Eagles (0-6-3) enter the non-conference finale following back-to-back losses that saw the purple and gold hold a second-half lead in each of the tilts. In Tech's contest with South Alabama on Sept. 8, the Golden Eagles used a pair of Lucia Cuadra goals in the 11th and 12th minutes to take an early edge, but the Jaguars would go on to capture the clash with three unanswered scores, including two in the second half.
In TTU's final non-conference home match against Belmont on Thursday, Neve Renwick opened the scoring with a goal in the 49th minute, but the Bruins would find the back of the net three times over the span of only eight minutes late in the match to take the tilt. Belmont first tied it in the 79th minute before scoring in the 86th and 87th minutes to push their advantage to 3-1, the eventual final.
Cuadra's two goals against South Alabama were the first two in her Tech tenure and led the Barcelona, Spain native to the OVC Offensive Player of the Week award for TTU's second such accolade this season. Renwick captured the league's first honor of the year on Aug. 20. The Sheffield, England product's goal against Belmont was her OVC-leading fifth of the year. Renwick is also the conference leader in points with 11, shots with 34 and shots on-goal with 17.

A look at Furman
Like the Golden Eagles, Sunday's match will also serve as Furman's final non-conference clash of 2024. The Paladins (4-4-0) host Tech on a three-match win streak that has seen the club collect nods over Georgia Southern, UNC Asheville and USC Upstate. The last two victories have both been at home.
After playing all 90 minutes between the pipes in the wins against Georgia Southern and UNC Asheville, Reese DeJong split the goalkeeping duties with Addison Corn in the last triumph over USC Upstate. Overall, DeJong has played in all eight matches and has totaled over 500 minutes of action, while Corn has appeared in four affairs and has notched nearly 220 minutes in net. DeJong has allowed 10 goals and has picked up 22 saves. Corn has yielded six scores and has accumulated 12 stops.
Offensively, Jenny Jacobson is the only Paladin with more than one goal this year behind three scores. Valentine Mosquera is the squad leader with three assists. The senior forward from Mt. Pleasant, S.C. also paces Furman with 16 shots.
Inside the series
Sunday's matchup will mark only the third get-together in the all-time series and the first that will take place in Greenville. Furman collected a 4-0 win in Cookeville on Sept. 3, 2006, but the Golden Eagles evened the set with a 4-1 win at Tech Soccer Field on Aug. 25, 2022.
