COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Two members of the Tennessee Tech women's golf team have been recognized as All-American Scholars for 2015-16 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
Senior Megan Williamson and sophomore Allyson Dunn were among the collegiate golfers recognized with the prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
"I am very proud of Allyson and Megan for receiving this award," said Golden Eagle head coach Polk Brown. "They have done outstanding work in the classroom which is signified by the honor. They are both outstanding, young ladies. We were priviliged to have Megan as a leader on our team for the past four years and I can't wait to get this next season started with Allyson and rest of our team."
The three Golden Eagle golfers were among a group 30 from the Ohio Valley Conference included in the 830 players chosen from throughout every NCAA Division as well as NAIA schools.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition.
