LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Tennessee Tech women's golf team got one last competitive round in before the Ohio Valley Conference Championships Sunday morning, partaking in a one-round dual match against OVC foe Morehead State.
The Golden Eagles ultimately fell to the Eagles, shooting 306 as a team as compared to Morehead State's team round of 298.
Freshman Whitney Robertson and sophomore Maddi Everts each tied for third place on the day, shooting 75 to tie with two Morehead State players.
Tying for seventh was sophomore Megan Williamson, who finished the day with a 77 to tie with two Eagle golfers. Freshman Lydia Triplett rounded out the scoring for Tech with a 79.
Also participating in the event were freshman Haley Davidson and sophomore Allison Geer. Playing as an individual, Davidson finished the day with an 81. The fifth member of the rotation for the Golden Eagles, Geer finished the day after scoring an 82.
The Golden Eagles will now have one week to prepare for the OVC Championships, which are scheduled to begin Monday, Apr. 21 at the RTJ Shoals Fighting Joe Course in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
