Tech women's basketball team to host second annual Education Day Tuesday at 11 a.m.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For the second straight year, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will host Education Day in the Hooper Eblen Center when it takes on UNC Asheville Tuesday, Dec. 18.

Tip is scheduled for an 11:00 a.m. CT start, with a large crowd of students from the surrounding communities, spanning from kindergarten through eighth grade, expected in attendance. For Tuesday's game only, Tech athletics will implement open, general admission seating for all fans in attendance, including season ticket holders.

Season tickets, as well as individual game tickets for Education Day, are on sale now at the TTU ticket office. Call 931-372-3940, visit the ticket office in the Eblen Center or visit TTUSports.com to order today.

Schools around the Ohio Valley Conference have held Education Day games at various points throughout their respective women's basketball seasons. Tennessee Tech joined the league tradition last season, hosting its first-ever Education Day game on Dec. 19. Students from all around the surrounding area witnessed the Golden Eagles cruise to a 70-41 victory over Winthrop.
