COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech football team won't have to wait as long to play its 2018 Football Bowl Subdivision foe as Utah State has moved its game against the Golden Eagles up two days, making it Tech's third straight Thursday night game to open the 2018 season.

The game date has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 13, with the kickoff time still to be announced.

Tech opens its season on Thursday, August 30, at Chattanooga, then comes home the following week to host Kennesaw State on Thursday, September 6. The Golden Eagles will then travel to Logan, Utah, for the FBS contest a week later before opening Ohio Valley Conference play nine days later at defending league champion Jacksonville State.

The Aggies, out of the Mountain West Conference, finished 6-7 last season, earning a berth to the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl, losing to New Mexico State 26-20 in overtime.

Season tickets for Tennessee Tech football are on sale now. For more information on the Utah State game as well as on how to order season tickets, call the Tech ticket office at (931) 372-3940 or visit the office in the Hooper Eblen Center front lobby.
