COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – When the Tennessee Tech Athletics video production office needed a new person to fill the video production coordinator role, Tech went with someone who already had years of experience as a student working with the department's staff.

Kaylee Selby, a Tennessee Tech graduate in 2020 with a degree in public relations/digital and electronic multimedia, was recently hired as a video production coordinator to help support the department's broadcast and production efforts.

A native of Crossville, Selby worked with the Tech Athletics video production staff as a student worker and intern between 2016 and 2020, serving in many diverse roles including camera operator, broadcast director, graphics, collecting B-roll footage and producing intro videos for the broadcasts and videoboards. She also helped produce graphics for social media and advertising efforts.

Selby also worked with the Tech football team for three seasons as a student videographer, filming games and practices, then editing video down with the DVSport and XOS platforms.

Outside of her work with Tech Athletics, Selby worked as a communications intern with the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, operations manager for Tennessee Digital Video, marketing assistant for Crossville Heating and Cooling and as a videographer, editor and owner of Oh Shoot Videography.

Returning to Tech Athletics, Selby will work with senior coordinator Jordan Ratti in day-to-day video operations, which includes producing the broadcast streams for ESPN+, promotional videos and multimedia content.
