COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – One of Tennessee Tech's longest rivalries will take center stage Friday in Nashville as the Golden Eagle women's basketball team takes on the Austin Peay Lady Govs in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament semi-finals.
Tennessee Tech entered the OVC Tournament as the #1 seed,
compiling a 15-3 conference record, en route to a 22-6 overall
record and its first OVC Championship since the 2005-06
season.
Austin Peay drew the #5 seed in the tournament behind 14-17
record and a 12-6 OVC record. In the first round, the Lady Govs
defeated the #8 Murray State Racers 71-64 and followed with a 78-72

against TTU.
During the regular season, Tech split the season series with
APSU, with each team winning its road game. The Golden Eagles
