COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Looking for its 11th straight win, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will wrap up its 2010-11 Ohio Valley Conference road schedule Saturday, as it takes on the second-place UT Martin Skyhawks.

This will be the 58th meeting between the Golden Eagles and UT Martin, with TTU owning the series edge at 44-13. Tech is currently riding a 10-game winning streak, which began Jan. 8 against Eastern Kentucky. In their previous meeting this season the Golden Eagles handed the Skyhawks a 74-57 loss at Eblen Center.

Five Golden Eagles posted 10 points or more in their last meeting with UTM, including junior guard Tacarra Hayes who recorded 18 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.

Tech (19-4, 13-1 OVC) is off to its best start since the 1989-90 season when it started the year 19-4. Its 10-game winning streak is also the longest since the 2000-01 season when it put together an 18-game winning streak.

UT Martin is 15-9 on the season and is second in the OVC with a 10-3 conference record. The Skyhawks have won six of their last seven decisions with their only loss coming to Austin Peay during that stretch.

Opening tip between the Golden Eagles and the Skyhawks is set for 4:00 p.m., at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.
