COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After winning a first-place showdown with UT Martin Thursday, the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team will look to keep things going as it hosts the Murray State Racers Saturday. This will be the 69th meeting between the Golden Eagles and
the Racers, with TTU owning the series edge at 55-13. Last season,
Tennessee Tech snapped a six-game losing streak to Murray State as
it took an 80-67 decision at Eblen Center.
Tech (11-4, 5-1 OVC) recently won its fifth OVC contest of the
season with victory 74-57 over UT Martin last Thursday and now sits
atop the OVC along with Eastern Illinois. Five Golden Eagles reach
double-figures in points with junior guard Tacarra Hayes leading

double-double and was just one assist away from her second career
triple-double.
