BUCHANAN, Tenn. - Senior Wes Korth is tied for fifth place after one day of the UT Martin Skyhawk Classic after shooting one-under 71 in the first  round and three-under par 69 in the second round on Monday. Korth's 140 after two rounds of play leaves him seven strokes behind tournament leader Jad Sinclair of Central Arkansas going into the second day of competition.

Korth leads the Tennessee Tech men's golf team that sits in third place after shooting 575 through two rounds of play. Tech trails Central Arkansas (554) and Murray State (559) going into the final round of the 16-team tournament.

The Skyhawks Classic is being played at the Paris Landing Golf Course in Buchanan, Tenn., which is a par-72 course playing 6,685 yards. The first two rounds were completed on Monday and the final round of the 54-hole competition will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Other Golden Eagles on the leaderboard after day one include Jared Dunn (71, 74) tied for 17th place, Preston Marshall (74, 72) tied for 22nd, Jake Heatherly (78, 70) tied for 36th and Blake Garrison (74, 76) tied for 48th.
