COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Fans already know it could be a special year for the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team, but a national television audience will get a chance to see why as the Golden Eagles will take on SIUE on ESPNU.

The televised game will change its originally scheduled start time from 5:30 p.m. to a now-slotted 4 p.m. tip.

"We are honored to host an ESPNU game with our women's basketball team and give them an opportunity to showcase their talents on the national stage," said TTU director of athletics Mark Wilson. "It gives our fans who are unable to be in the Eblen Center a chance to see the team and increase the exposure of our brand for potential future students and student-athletes."

The game is one of seven Ohio Valley Conference contests selected by the Bristol, Conn.-based ESPN family of networks. It is the only women's game selected in the package.

The other games selected include:

  • 1/6 – UT Martin at Tennessee State – 6 p.m. – ESPNews
  • 1/13 – SIUE at Eastern Illinois – 8 p.m. – ESPNU
  • 1/20 – Belmont at Morehead State – 6 p.m. – ESPNews
  • 1/27 – Morehead State at Southeast Missouri – 8 p.m. – ESPNU
  • 2/17 – Austin Peay at Murray State – 6 p.m. – ESPNU
  • 2/24 – Belmont at Murray State – 8 p.m. – ESPNU

ESPNU will also televise the two OVC men's semifinals in Evansville on March 4, while ESPN2 will carry the OVC men's championship on March 5.

This game is in addition to the ESPN+ streaming schedule, which includes almost every home game and Ohio Valley Conference contest, as well as some selected road events. An ESPN+ subscription is required to watch those broadcasts.

For fans looking to watch the games in person, season tickets for Tennessee Tech basketball are on sale now. Call (931) 372-3940, visit the Hooper Eblen Center ticket office or visit TTUsports.com.
