Tech tennis to receive championship rings on Tuesday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The public is invited as the Tennessee Tech men's tennis team will receive their Ohio Valley Conference championship rings on Tuesday.

The event will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Eagles Nest in the Hooper Eblen Center.

The Golden Eagles won the OVC tournament in April, defeating Eastern Kentucky 4-2 in the championship match. Tech also went a perfect 7-0 in league play during the regular season.

Tech made its first NCAA tennis tournament appearance since 2006, facing Ohio State in the event.
