TULSA, Okla. – Tennessee Tech's Eduardo Mena made a strong performance in the ITA Men's All-American Championship at the University of Tulsa, advancing into the second round.
Mena, ranked No. 93 on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's fall poll, defeated Tulsa's Francois Kellerman 6-4, 6-1 on Monday.
But he ran into a buzzsaw in TCU's Trevor Johnson, falling 6-1, 6-1 in Tuesday's second round matchup.
The Tech tennis team returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 13, as the Golden Eagles head to Malibu, Calif., to compete in the Oracle ITA Masters tournament.
