COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After a four-week hiatus from the links, the Tennessee Tech men's golf team will finally return to action Monday morning, taking part in the Bearcat Invitational hosted by Cincinnati in Hebron, Ky.

Located at the par-72 Traditions Golf Club, the event will be played at 7,150 yards per 18 holes. Play will kick off with a 7:45 a.m. CT shotgun start on Monday, with 36 holes on tab for the first day. The final 18 holes will start with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday. The field will consist of over 70 players on 14 teams, including the following listed in alphabetical order:

Belmont
Cincinnati
Cleveland State
Dayton
Eastern Kentucky
Marshall
Morehead State
New Orleans
Northern Kentucky
Oakland
SIUE
Tennessee Tech

Youngstown State

The Golden Eagles nearly won this event last year, leading after the first day of action before ultimately placing fourth overall. Then sophomore Mitch Thomas nearly took medalist honors, tying for second after shooting 68-71-72=211.

"After a long layoff from Southern Miss, the guys should be ready to compete as we enter the meat of our schedule with four straight weeks of tournament play," head coach Polk Brown said. "I expect their games to be ready for the challenge that these next four courses will throw their way. We had great success at Cincinnati last year, and there is no reason not to expect the same this time around."
