COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It's finally time for the Tennessee Tech men's golf team to hit the links as the Golden Eagles will kick off the 2014-15 campaign at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate in Hattiesburg, Miss on Monday.

Located at the par-71 Hattiesburg Country Club, the will be played at 6,902 yards per 18 holes. The field will consist of 84 players on 15 teams, including the following listed in alphabetical order:

Arkansas-Little Rock
Jackson State
Louisiana
Louisiana Tech
Louisiana-Monroe
Mississippi State
Ole Miss
Rice
Sam Houston State
South Alabama
Southeastern Louisiana
Southern Miss
Tennessee Tech
UTSA

The Golden Eagles finished fifth in the event last year, being led by then-junior Lee Whitehead, who finished in a tie for 10th at the event. The wiley veteran carded a very impressive 69-66-73=208 to finish five under.

"After a great performance at this event last year, the guys are anticipating another solid performance at Hattiesburg Country Club," head coach Polk Brown said. "The field is solid and the venue is very good. The guys have been working hard, and we look forward to another successful run at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate. This tournament is an excellent way to start out both the fall semester and the entire year."
