COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech's regular season finale on Saturday, Nov. 21, is the latest of the 2015 Golden Eagle football games to draw national attention. It will be aired from Tucker Stadium by American Sports Network (ASN), with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff time.
It's the fourth Tech game to be chosen for airing by either ASN or ESPN3 in the Ohio Valley Conference packages. The league announced the final two games of the six-game ASN package Thurday, with the Tech-TSU clash capping the schedule.
Tech's games against Houston (Sept. 5) and UT Martin (Oct. 3) will be aired by ESPN3, while the Golden Eagle games against Murray State (Sept. 26) and Tennessee State (Nov. 21) were selected by ASN. Other Golden Eagle games could also be selected as ESPN3 "Wild Card" games once the season is underway.
The American Sports Network is an initiative of the Sinclair Networks Group, LLC, owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., which owns and operates programs and provides sales services to 162 television stations in 79 markets, reaching approximately 37.5 percent of U.S. television households. It includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates.
The exact stations each of the games will air will be announced at a later date.
The announcement of six Conference games on ASN follows the previous announcement of eight Conference contests on ESPN3 in addition to 30 games that can be seen on the OVC Digital Network, the league's web streaming initiative.
